Hello pilots!

Looking through the developing DCS series, some very nice features will be available soon with the "combined arms" addon. Is the GI community aware of the possibilities of what new experiences and heights it will open for the Campaign? Like:

"Development continues on the upcoming add-on "Combined Arms". This paid-for add-on will allow A-10C Warthog, Black Shark 2, and Flaming Cliffs 3 owners to:

- act as ground force commanders as the mission is running,
- direct ground units,
- set fire missions for artillery and multiple rocket launchers,
- take the role of a Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC).

As the JTAC, players will have:
- night vision goggles,
- IR pointer,
- laser designator,
- Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR).

Several other new items are still being considered. Combined Arms will work in both single player and multiplayer missions."

Admins, will you consider using these elements of the coming software(s)?

Just asking, because the new elements of FC2, like trigger use was NOT used inf the last session of the campaign. I understand the complexity and difficulties of running even the existing modules, but I guess Combined ops. will be a resource we should use.

S!

Generals as JTAC/Battle Commander would be nice. :D

Lets hope that the current/future DCS/FC3-engine can handle the large number of clients as it FC2/BS1 does.

It depends on the stability of A10C and Blackshark. Now, the stability is very low. It needs to be improved in order to be used in mass numbers like GI. Currently, what we have noticed for example when you throw more than 5 CBU bombs, the server in most cases crashes. Too much calculations for each bomblet. And sadly, its more then that. So, in my opinion, we should stick to FC2/BS1.
