Btw, what extra unit did u guys get with your Imperial Edition?

(Its that extra envelope thing thats given outside from box)

Oh and DONT activate them yet guys, because some units are French, some English, some land, some naval, etc etc... So if we all get different stuff, we can decide who wants what more! That way we can distribute them evenly to the nations we are going to play for...

I got the HMS Elephant, some sort of kick ass ship by the looks of it... Frostie, mabe you got some Russian unit? I dont really need Brit units as im not going to play with them anyway, mabe we can trade? lemme know! :winky:

Also, Frostie, any steam tips on installation? I really dont want to have it download the whole thing again... tell me how u installed it to minimize the download update...

Sorry BS I activated the extra units yesterday, 'Heroes of the Napoleonic Wars' (10 units) and 'Elite Regiment pack' (5 units).

I've also acquired the 'Coalition Battle pack' (6 units) through Steam for meagre pence. Mainly because they have the Coldstream Guards so I can use them to pwn yours and Xmom's sorry French/Russian/No0b asses.

I guess you've already installed now through Steam, but for reference, to install through the DVD's you need to:
  • right click on the game in Steam and select {delete all content} (if you've already started D/L)
  • Close Steam
  • insert this line in windows Run
    "C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -install C:
(C: being which drive your Steam is located in)
  • should now install through DVD's

Frostie, im talking about the special single unit, not the Imperial Edition units (I have those too). It comes in a little envelope, outside of the box contents... like a retailer specific bonus... but i guess it depends on the retailer if they give it out or not... mabe you didnt get it? Anyway im guessing those units are mostly for campaign anyway... so its not big deal... like i said, i got HMS Elephant ship as this unit...

Btw, did u guys know that we can now play the campaign in MP against human players?!

As for the Coalition pack DLC im gonna get that too , after im done with installing/activating all the other units...

Oh and my game installed from DVD by default without any of the above tweaks frostie... It is now updating though in steam (500meg file), but the 20 gigs were all extracted from DVD, so i dont know why Tek ran into that problem... :S

yes that was a mod for an older total war game - Rome Total War...

But this is a new full release which is dedicated to Napoleonic Era... Napoleon Total War

Graphics are amazing i must say, with all kinds of support for volumetric effects, HRD bloom, camera horizon blend effects, multicore support, etc etc
