On another note comrades, im currently uploading a new version of an NTW mod compilation pack!!

Please make sure to completely delete all the previous mods from your "Data" folder... then d/l this one and install!

For those who dont know just unzip and drop all the files into:
Steam\SteamApps\common\napoleon total war\data

Nothing else!

This includes the newly released BSM (Battle Smoke Mod) as seen on this thread, which is a must!
http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=342140

It even adds blood on musket ball impact effects :)

Just remember to d/l the pack on ftp and not the one on the above forums, as i have converted it to make it MP compatible! And not to mention all the other mods from before + some changes/additions!

EDIT: Mod pack is up and ready for D/L in my folder on FTP under NTW files...

Enjoy!

Everything set to HIGH apart from:

Textures & Particles which are set to ULTRA (I think u need particles on ULTRA for BSM mod to look best)

I also use 8x AA and 8x AF, but you can reduce those if u got FPS issues... Shaders are at highest level of course...

I also have SSAO set to OFF (big FPS hog and not necessary), hardware shadows and vsync also OFF... While all the others are "ticked" ON

Basically with those settings I am able to run a 3v3 with full armies and get decent and stable FPS at about 30 or so... 4v4 is also ok when i tested with AI, but the slowdown becomes noticeable now, but we never play such big battles anyway as it will lagg like hell regardless.... So i adjusted my settings for a 3v3 basically...

I also have Picture in Picture disabled and I only keep the "path markers", the rest are off...

I have ordered the game and i guess it will be here shortly ... While ordering it i came to think of one of my favorite english TV series "Sharpes" that thakes place in the same period and of the song by John Tams

Here the lyrics:

Here's forty shillings on the drum
For those who'll volunteer to come
To 'list and fight the foe today.
Over the hills and far away.

O'er the hills and o'er the main.
Through Flanders, Portugal and Spain.
King George commands and we obey.
Over the hills and far away.

When duty calls me I must go
To stand and face another foe.
But part of me will always stray
Over the hills and far away.

(Chorus)

If I should fall to rise no more,
As many comrades did before,
Then ask the fifes and drums to play.
Over the hills and far away.

(Chorus)

Then fall in lads behind the drum,
With colours blazing like the sun.
Along the road to come-what may.
Over the hills and far away.

Maybe I should get this too...

Flying seems less and less appealing these days.

First i couldn't believe how long it took to install this game (about 40 min)
but when i decided to make a backup of the "data" folder i realised that this folder alone has 22.2 gigs ....... thats insane!!!
