I hope F12010 has TrackIR support and excellent Force Feedback!!!! I have been waiting for this since EA's F1 Challenge '99-'02. I have many mods for F1 for RFactor and GTR Evo, but the tracks are always lacking in the graphics department. I hope my expectations are not to high for F12010.

Raced all night :D :D

It may not be 100% real but it sure is real fun.
Graphics are outstanding.
One thing that worries me is that I tried driving the Mercedes car round Istanbul and after 5 laps did a time that is 2 seconds better than the pole position from this year, but I guess this will be fixed in the patch after the release. The AI is much better than in any other game, counter-attacks, defends and attacks pretty nicely and realistically.

8/10 from me for this game :)

Have you tried MP? I read somewhere that u need to have this Windows Live games id or something like that... and if your country doesn't support the service you cant play MP... is this true for PC version?

Same problem was with Street Fighter IV release in Poland. However there was workaround to that. You had to change your windows localization to US and also while registering LIVE account (via website or game don't remember) set your localization to US. And multiplayer worked even with Polish CDKEY! So keep that in mind if you encounter that problem.

Copy and paste from my post at ED forums...

Well, overall disappointed with it, but maybe in the future if it is modded, It could be better. The only really great thing about it are the graphics, but I also mean the realism of the graphics as well as the track detail, which is important for a racing sim. Problem is, my Core Duo at 3.6 and my GTX 280 only get ~45 fps with everything on low and 35 with everything on high. In a racing sim I need 60 fps.

TrackIR is supported under the Dirt2 profile and is works very good. Force Feedback is solid but has no reaction to tire slip, probably because there is basically no tire slip modelled. Take a corner at full rev in 1st gear and crank the wheel and you will be hard pressed to spin out. There is too much grip even if you set aero to low down force. After years of rFactor and GTR Evo, it just feels simple and wrong. There are worse racers in terms of handling though. Like I said, maybe a mod to adjust handling and it would be much better. Also, a way to turn off bloom and maybe the expected DX11 patch will give more FPS on older systems.

GTR for some reason has a known glitch with flashing graphics and Nvidia cards, so I think I will look at the latest F1 mods for rFactor again, until things possibly change with F1 2010

^^ RGR based on that input i think its a good idea to hold off and stick to RFactor! I personally would only drive 100 % realism, and if it feels like what u said, then its just not gonna be worth it....

Btw, Crunch care to do some WTCC with us? Or some FIA GT in Rfactor? :winky:

Oh and another interesting thing... Rfactor 2 is in the works, probably to be released beginning of next year!
